Back on Track, Camping and Some Yummy Fall Recipes!

Back on Track, Camping and Some Yummy Fall Recipes!

Click for OptionsI feel like I have been on an absolute whirl-wind!!!! Summer ended, school started back, leadership retreat, and now it’s OCTOBER!!! Whoa!  And this is where it REALLY gets busy.

Just because I’m a freak for Fall, I have to share this super cool picture my sister sent me this week!  She knew I would love it!!

Soccer starts this week, and we have something for EVERY weekend of October!  And I love every minute of it.  But to be perfectly honest, it wreaks havoc on a girl’s schedule.

But that’s ok.  Because I’m not going to let it throw me off track permanently!  If there is anything I have learned in the past year, it’s that I AM capable of making change happen.  Will it be easy to get back on track? Probably not.  But I’m gonna.  Because it works for me.

My meal plan is already done for this week.  I’ve already been to the grocery store and have everything I need to make my lunches and dinners for this week.  I am eating a lot of leftovers for lunch too, so that simplifies things.  My fruit and my snacks are portioned out so I can grab and go if I’m in a bind or have an impromptu soccer practice pop up!

It’s funny, because it’s so easy to slip back into old habits.  I used to be the drive thru queen when things were busy, and I found myself doing that again this week.  And even though I was ordering “healthy” food – salads, grilled sandwiches, etc. – I still wasn’t able to control what all was actually going into my food.  Sodium and extra fat really wreaked havoc on my stomach this week.  And I don’t want to use the “I’m too busy” excuse anymore.  Honestly, I’m too busy NOT to plan.  And I spent more money on eating out this week than I would if I had just been prepared!
So!  I’m ready!  Ready to be back on track. Ready for consistency.  Ready for some yummy meals this week.

AND we’re going camping this weekend!!!! I have been waiting for this for a while now.  The weather will be cooler.  I’ll be with my boys, and I love to cook over a fire!  And these faces make it all so much fun!  (pictures from last year’s camping excursion)

So, bring it Monday!  I’m ready for you!  Lean Circuit dvd is in the player, and when that alarm goes off at 4:30 a.m., I will be ready to face the day!.  Let’s do it!

xoxo
Rachel
