You’re Never Too Old…

I started my career in community service and had some really fun, but low paying and not so fulfilling jobs…. Then I began as a College History teacher when I was pregnant with Milo. And I felt like I had found my DREAM JOB. Summers off. Teaching something that interests me.  And it was just EASY – which seemed like what I wanted! 

Leaving my boys everyday was hard, but I just KNEW that as they grew older, it would get easier.  I thought that when they got out of the baby stage, my desire to BE WITH THEM would lessen and I would adjust to being gone 9 hours of their day!

But it didn’t. As they grew, I wanted to be with them MORE! To be more PRESENT. To be the wife and mom God was called ME to be. I was SICK everyday when I left them. But we had debt and responsibilities, so I just kept working with no hope of anything changing. 

In 2014, when I connected with Beachbody and took on a different teaching role. I was in a role of teaching my clients how to achieve their health and fitness goals.  I was teaching, but in a virtual classroom.  I was helping my clients reach their benchmarks.  This was unlike anything I had ever done before, but it was truly from the bottom of my heart making me feel happy and fulfilled. I worked in the pockets of my day and everyday God showed me something that motivated me and I kept going even though it was hard.  And within 4 years of STARTING my teeny coaching business, God allowed me to cut back to just a few hours a week as a professor and now I’m HOME with my family! Praise GOD! 

I have progressed from teaching my virtual health & fitness clients to where I teach other business owners how to grow and scale their health and fitness businesses as well.

You can see the common theme. I teach and I lead!

The best thing about coaching is the fact that I have the flexibility and the freedom to do what I love, when I want to do it. 

I also love that I can directly affect my income by the number of lives that I change. I am forever grateful to this platform and to the people I get to connect with each and every day!

This weekend, I wrapped up my team retreat thinking about how WONDERFUL that scary step of YES was 5 years ago.  And I can’t help but wonder if YOU will be here next year to GROW. FELLOWSHIP. LEARN. and CHANGE LIVES with us!

This weekend was an opportunity to FILL MY CUP and have FELLOWSHIP face to face with these ladies who have chosen to do LIFE and BUSINESS with me!

We get to do life together everyday virtually, through fit clubs, training groups and team calls, but there is nothing like being face to face to do all those things together!  We came from Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Minnesota, and Ohio to be together for four days in beautiful Destin, FL.  We worked out by the pool each morning, drank our Shakeology together, had trainings in the morning on growing our businesses and sat on the beach in the afternoons!  Dinners were healthy meals prepared by us and we sat around and just talked life over a glass of wine or two!  It was exactly what each of us needed!  

But I don’t want you to get the wrong idea at all!  This trip was a GIFT and it was a BLESSING for me to get to treat these ladies who are working so hard!  And the trips are FUN! The recognition and the STUFF is all part of it!  But it’s the Work I do DAY IN and DAY OUT that I love the most.  

And its that work that has helped me succeed in this business with God’s blessing!   I have definitely had to sacrifice some things to grow this business. Especially early on!  I woke up early to get my workout in. My health was NUMERO UNO!  I cannot coach with INTEGRITY if I’m not willing to do what I’m inviting others to do with me. 

 I pulled out my business tracker every day and refused to go to bed until all the boxes were checked 5 days a week.
 I gave up my TV shows to send encouraging messages to women who needed help in their fitness.  
I gave up my late night Netflix binges to create resources for my challengers to write a post for the next day.  
I turned lose of my COMFORT to learn how to grow a business that has challenged me every step of the way!  
And with each step, I’ve had to turn the posture of my heart away from me. Away from the world. Away from my comfort zone and TOWARDS my Creator!  And it’s been WORTH it every step of the way!  

My world and my life look so different today.  God had changed me from the inside out, and He used a strange little thing called Beachbody coaching to do it.   Did you follow along this weekend?
