VBS, A Meal Plan, The 3 Day Refresh, and A Crazy Week!!!!

VBS, A Meal Plan, The 3 Day Refresh, and A Crazy Week!!!!

Whew!!! Just when I get adjusted to being home and getting our schedules laid out, things change!!!

But this is an exciting change.  Vacation Bible School comes every year and I always have the same emotions.

1. I dread it a little (just being completely honest!).  The running around, the herding kiddos, the time away from my home office.
2. Then I read a passage of scripture and a devotion that SLAMS me!!! That happened a couple of months back, but even this past week, God has been filling my heart with scripture that directly points me to serving Him in this way.  This scripture and the devotion associated with it really touched me!

As much as I love fitness and coaching, my priority should always be to minister to others and to share the love of Christ!  I don’t want to lose that focus, and VBS is the PERFECT opportunity to do that!
3.  I get the curriculum for the week, am usually FLOORED by how God speaks to me, and I spend a lot of time in prayer.
4. By the time VBS rolls around, I am so excited to get started that I can’t stand it!!!
So, that’s where I currently am!!!!
But VBS also means a super crazy busy week at the Mitchell Casa.
So, meal planning this week is SIMPLE!!!!
I am sticking to meals that are easy.  And that my family loves.
I am making my Fixate Chicken Salad today.
I am taking Rice Cakes and Almond Butter packets for snacks at VBS, because they’re portable, easy and YUMMY!
I just finished up the 3 day Refresh with a few friends, and I don’t want to undo all that work.  It was SO much easier doing it this time with close friends, and we had fun…well, that’s a relative term!
I will let these pictures tell the story of my 3 Day Refresh!
Lunch on the first day

Green tea helps me stay on track!  And a little truth from God!

Keeping the kids busy with Pilates Fix

Child torture…aka Pilates Fix Extreme

Do I choose the green beans or Oreos for dinner?? Confused moment…

Yummy Strawberry Shakeology and Decaf Coffee for Breakfast!

Overcame this Wendy’s temptation…WINNING

Final Results!!!

It’s not my favorite thing to do, but the 3 Day Refresh really isn’t that bad.  It’s more of a mental battle than a physical one, but I ALWAYS come out on the other side thankful.  Not just for weight loss or the loss of the bloat. But because my mind comes out clearer, and the sugar, fat, salt, artificial sweetener fog is GONE!!!!

I actually didn’t weigh or measure before or after I did it this time.  Because I have committed to not obsessing over my weight or getting on the scale for a period of time. And I really didn’t feel the need to!  It felt great just to do what was right for my body and mind without fretting over the scale!!! God is totally working in that area of my life.  It’s exciting!

So I hit it hard this morning with Cardio Fix, and it felt good to be on track!!!

Ants, Hydrate, BOD and Hydrangeas…sums up my life perfectly!

Cardio Fix kicked my tail!

So, that’s my previous week and some of what I can expect in the upcoming week.
I would love for you to pray with me about VBS.  That God would move, that He would use me and that kiddos would accept the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!
It’s the Truth!

Happy Saturday!
