No Excuses November & My Holiday Goals

No Excuses November & My Holiday Goals

No secrets that this is my all time favorite time of year!  The coolness in the air, the fire in the fireplace, roasting smores over the fire pit, cuddling on the couch with my family and watching movies and football.  LOVE it!

I am keeping my own journal of the things I am thankful for.  Big and small!

And we are doing our own Thanksgiving tree at home too for the family.  We are each going to share something we are thankful for throughout the month.  It’s fun to hear the boys’ thoughts.  They always surprise me!

But this time of year, it is difficult for me to say NO to all the yummy comfort food.  I struggle less with sweets and more with cheese, thick creamy soups, BREAD, and all the salty food.  It is SO good!  But it also makes me feel very yucky.

  • The salt makes me bloated.
  • The fatty foods wreak havoc on my stomach!
  • Bread and carbs makes me gain pounds overnight!
  • And all of it contributes to my PMDD symptoms.

It’s embarrassing to admit, but I also crave Diet Coke like a mad woman when I consume any of the above!!! It’s like one unhealthy choice leads to 20 for me!

So, I set goals. I write them down. And I am sharing them for extra accountability.  I can set goals for myself all day long, but sharing them puts me out there. Makes me want to stick with them.  That is one reason my challengers set goals in our groups.  We are all there to cheer each other on but also to help us stick with our goals.

And it is NOT easy!  Turning down all those tempting goodies during the holidays is tough!! It takes discipline: it requires consistency; and it requires a lot of prayer!!!

I just got through the Halloween weekend, and even though I overdid it a little more than planned, I am SO proud of myself for not making myself sick on FOOD!  My challengers rocked it as well, and I am so excited for the progress we are all making!!!

So, I am setting goals for the next two months.  Do you realize there are only 21 days until Thanksgiving week???? A lot of progress can be made in 21 days.  In my first round of the 21 Day Fix, I lost 6 lbs!!!

Here are my goals starting today and going through November 21st!

I have no excuses for not reaching my goals.  My team and I are actually focusing on taking care of ourselves and making US a priority so that we can help other people do the same!

So, my plan is to continue my Body Beast workouts through the holidays and then switch to The Master’s Hammer and Chisel.  I’m seeing some awesome results from Body Beast, and the 21 Day Fix is one of my favorite workouts, and this program will combine them BOTH!!! This will definitely be my cruise-ready workout.

So, here I go!!! If you want to join me in setting your own goals and staying on track during the holidays, send me an email!!! janzenmitch@outlook.com

Let’s do this!

xoxo,
Rachel
