Christmas List – My Favorite Tools and Toys!

Christmas List – My Favorite Tools and Toys!

I think this is one of my FAVORITE posts I make all year!  Healthy living is more fun when you get to buy new toys, right?

But really!  I wanted to share some of my MUST HAVES with you before Black Friday, so you can make up your Christmas list and get some feel good and get healthy goodies for yourself this year! All links can be found in the name as well as by clicking on the image.

Instant Pot

Food is always important right!  And a good friend introduced me to this baby earlier this year.  No lie…I cook with this at least three times a week.  It makes meal prep so much easier.  It makes coming home and throwing together dinner a no brainer. And it keeps me on track and out of the drive thru!  These should go on sale on Amazon for Black Friday. Watch for it!

Here are some of our favorite family recipes too!

Gym Mat

I get asked this question a lot from my workout photos!  “Where did you get that workout mat?”

WALMART sisters!  This is the BEST purchase ever made.  It comes in six pieces, and I duct tape the bottom of it so it doesn’t slip apart.  And I place weights on the corners when I’m doing cardio so it doesn’t slide out from underneath me! { Wouldn’t that be pretty?? }

It’s $20, and I usually use one for about 8 months to a year and then I need a new one, because I’ve worn it out.

Asics Running Shoes

I’m a runner!  Not a marathon runner, but I do love to run. It’s my THERAPY, and I love to be outside on days that are nice.  I’ve always been a Brooks running shoe girl, but I’ve had some foot trouble in the past few years with Plantar Fascitis, and my toe foot seems to be spreading as I get older, and Asics are fitting me better.  These are the ones I have now, and they’re SO COMFY!!!!

Bowflex Weights

Let me say first of all that I coveted these for 3 whole years!  I could NOT bring myself to buy them. As I started building strength in my workouts, I was buying a set of heavier weights here and there {which easily adds up to MORE than what these babies cost}…

But a beautiful, dear challenger turned soul sister gifted me with these earlier this year, and I could NOT have been more surprised or excited!

Energize

IF you follow me on Social Media, you KNOW I love my morning go-go juice!  I have always been so skeptical of products like these, but I finally decided to try this after about a year of coaching. Getting up in the mornings to push play isn’t always as easy as it seems! This is a plant based pre workout drink that has a little caffeine. People ask me a lot if it bothers my heart.  It does NOT. I suffer from Mitrovalve prolapse too, so it’s safe for me.  One tub will last me about two months.  LOVE>>>IT!

Running Band for Phone

Back to running…I love to listen to podcasts, audible and Praise music while I run. But I don’t like to carry my phone or wear that arm band {Ugh!  The worst}.  I found this little gem on sale at Academy for $10, and it’s perfect! It expands so it holds my phone, and it sits on my waist. It does not move around much as I run either, which was important.

Solid Light Co.

Workout clothes…easily one of my vices.  And workout tanks with a message….just go ahead and sign me up!  This website has a LOT of Jesus girl messages.  And different styles as well.  If you order, you HAVE to share with me on my facebook page. I wanna see what you got!

Made to Crave

Finally!  This is probably one of the most influential books I have read in my whole life. When I began my fitness journey in 2014, I just knew I wasn’t going to stick with it. It was going to be one of those fads I went through again. Get results, get tired of it and QUIT!

But for some reason, my sister mentioned this book, and by the grace of God I picked it up!  It opened my eyes to so much about my spiritual health and how that was affecting my physical health. I am capable of NOTHING by my own strength!  Without Gods strength, I would not be here writing about health and fitness today. Pick it up. Even if you don’t struggle with a love/hate relationship with food. It speaks to ANYTHING that we put before God.

I hope you enjoyed this! if you have any questions about anything here or have some recommendations for ME, please email me at janzenrk@gmail.com!

xoxo,

Rachel
