The Results are IN!

Hey there!  And WELCOME to my new blog!  I had it updated and loving the format!  Let me know what you think!

So I started a new workout program exactly 3 weeks ago today!  I was extremely excited about this, because truthfully I get bored in my fitness. It’s important to me. To care for my body. To make it a priority.  To make sure I’m doing things that make me STRONGER and HEALTHIER for my family.

But I need a new challenge from time to time. And this new program from the health and fitness gurus I’m aligned with was perfect!

• 25 minute workouts the first week
• 35 minutes the second week
• 45 minute workouts the last week!
• And during that time, I implemented a carb depletion meal planning method in which I decreased my starchy carbs and increased veggies, proteins and healthy fats.

I was nervous  SCARED at first…to be honest.  I love my carbs.  And I don’t believe in a nutrition approach that permanently cuts out carbs.  God created some amazing foods that FUEL our bodies, so I like to partake in as many as possible ;).!

So how does the nutrition work?

HERE’S THE BREAKDOWN

WEEK 1 Get rid of the foods that are holding you backand start with a better balance of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats with carbs being the first focus. Mostly getting your healthy carbs from fruits and veggies with a few starches (yams and potatoes) and legumes (beans and peas) thrown in.  This is definitely a gluten free plan, for all you gluten conscience mamas!

Meal Plan Week 1

WEEK 2 As your body adapts and the workouts increase in length, it’s time to really accelerate your results and cut back on the starchy carbs while increasing proteins, veggies and healthy fats.

Meal Plan Week 2

WEEK 3 Here is where the magic happens and everything really comes together. You are working out at your peak while eating your cleanest. Starchy carbs are eliminated to make way for your best results  – and although it’s a challenging week – you can help ward off your cravings with Shakeology, the superfood supplement shake designed to support your nutrition goals without giving up the results!

 

My Results

Honestly, I was kind of blown away.  I mean, I hardly lost any weight (2 lbs to be exact) and inches (2.1 inches overall), but when I saw my results side by side, I was so excited! I could tell I had less bloat and my pants were fitting better as I progressed. I also felt much stronger an my endurance and stamina was increasing!

 

Round 2

So now I am continuing on to Round 2!!! And I’m committing with my current group of test group ladies and welcoming 10 new to join us!  The results my test group participants are getting are increible!

• Pam is down 17 inches and 9 lbx
• Lindsey is down 4.4 lbs and 12 inches!
• Lauren is down 10 lbs and working on her post baby bod!

And while I know it’s not all about the numbers, these women set goals for their health and they are hitting them! I am confident that we will continue to hit our goals together!

Hope Reigns – You Can Do This Too!

I can remember for YEARS “hoping” that I would stick to this diet. “Hoping” that I could cut out Diet Cokes. “Hoping” that I would learn to love my body more. But I was so bogged down by the weight of my past failures that I was too scared to begin. Does that sound familiar?

And that He HAS done! It doesn’t matter how much you have to lose, how many times you’ve started and stopped, or what anyone else is doing! What matter is that you simply START!
