Some Things I’ve Been Eating Lately

Some Things I’ve Been Eating Lately

I get asked a lot about what I am eating.  Different brands, what contents are good and which are bad.

I LOVE answering questions!! I’m no fitness expert, but I do my homework and play with what works for me.  And I’m always on the lookout for good, TASTY food that will fuel my body and that my family will eat!

So, I wanted to share some things we have been eating lately that I love!

I am a grilling machine!!! The minute the weather gets a little bit warmer, I am out there every weekend.  And more when I get home for the summer!

I made these roasted veggies to go with some chicken I grilled up.  I just seasoned them with Salt-Free Cavender’s Seasoning, salt, pepper and some olive oil.

Roasted beets and cauliflower

These Sweet Potato fries are DIVINE!!! I’m not a big fan of eating a baked or smashed sweet potato.  And I DO NOT like sweet potato casserole.  So these are a delicious option to get this super nutritional food into my diet!! Anything spicy is good enough for me.  And I love the crunch from baking them.

This was our finished product!

Breakfast for dinner is ALWAYS a good idea. Especially on those nights when things just don’t come together properly for the meal I had planned!!! You mommas get me????

This is simply scrambled eggs with a few jalapenos…see, I love spicy! Sliced tomato, real bacon and some avocado.

I always struggle with finding good clean snacks for our family. Especially now that it’s warmer, we are outside or at ballgames a lot, these come in super handy. I LOVE this brand!!! Very few and very simple ingredients. I look for the ones with more protein.
And of course, when I’m meal prepping now a days, I am grilling!  You cannot beat the way grilled asparagus tastes!

And finally, another fast and simple idea is a burrito bowl.  This one includes spaghetti squash (I cooked during meal prep on Sunday), ground chicken with cumin and chili powder, salsa and fresh bell peppers.

You can add brown rice, venison, beef, shrimp, whatever you want to make it your own!

So, those are just some examples of what we are eating lately.  I hope that gives you lots of ideas!
Eating clean isn’t complicated.  It just takes some practice and some planning!
