Raising the Bar – Pittsburgh Super Saturday Weekend

Raising the Bar – Pittsburgh Super Saturday Weekend

This past weekend was an absolute BLAST and just another confirmation for me that God has placed me exactly where He wants me at this time of my life.

Carl Daikler, CEO of Beachbody and my coach, Melanie

For those of you who don’t know, Super Saturday is a quarterly event that Beachbody coaches host/attend all over the nation.  It is an opportunity to learn about new things coming from the company, to receive training and growth, connect with other coaches and challengers, to fellowship, and to workout together.  It’s a lot of fun. We have been hosting one here in my hometown for a while now. Sometimes they are big, and sometimes small. But it’s ALWAYS a good thing to be a part of ,and I always walk away invigorated and refreshed.
But THIS Super Saturday, my coach asked me to come to Pittsburgh (which was painfully cold!) to speak at their special weekend training.  Which was a huge honor in itself!  But I also got to receive training, which always fills my cup!
Too cold for this MS girl!

Shakeo on the go!
I was asked to share my story of coaching and how I managed to grow my business in the past year.  You see, I have been a coach for 2.5 years, and to say that it was ALL uphill would not be true.  There have been really good times, low times and some in the middle.  But it has consistently been a blessing and a joy to be a coach.  To help others in their health and fitness. To be able to incorporate my faith into something that I love so much.  To be able to become a leader and to make some incredibly wonderful new friends through this.
Dream Team Diamond Celebration
I have not always had success in this business, and it is so important for me to evaluate and recognize WHY!  And that is what I shared with some leaders on the dream team.  For a good year and a half after I was a coach, I allowed FEAR to dictate my actions in this business.
  • I wouldn’t post, because I was afraid what people would think.
  • I wouldn’t invite people to a challenge group or to try Shakeology or even coaching, because I was afraid they would say “no”.
  • I was SO afraid of failure that I was missing the point.
Speaking to Diamond Leaders
Which is that there is NO perfection in this life.  Only PURPOSE! And I was missing my purpose, because I was afraid.
Once I recognized that, I made a commitment to grow my business and to live out the purpose that God gave me through this opportunity.
My beautiful friend Farin.
  • To teach other women that they are valuable, capable and worth the investment in themselves.
  • To teach women that they don’t have to settle for less than God desires for themselves.
  • To lead other women in building businesses for themselves and income with integrity and that same purpose.
  • To encourage and inspire women to trust God with their health and their wealth.
Are there obstacles? Yes
Are there goals I don’t always meet? Yes
Are there setbacks? Yes
Are their late nights and long hours some days? Yes

But I am where God wants me.  Where I need to be for me and my family. I am so fulfilled by what I do as a coach.  And not the big, glamorous weekends filled with parties, recognition and all.
This past weekend was a BLAST!!! I’m so thankful for the opportunity to lead, to share and to celebrate with my coach and our larger team. It was exciting to get all dressed up and hang out and just relax.

But if I’m being 100% honest, that’s not thing I love most about coaching.

  • I love that I can sit at home in my PJs with a cup of tea and lead my team.
  •  That I can work this business and help my Health Bet challengers get ready to kick off an exciting new start in their health tomorrow while sitting by my fire.
  •  That everyday is the opportunity to consistently do the small things- like sharing my workout selfie or sending an encouraging message or inviting someone to take advantage of something that has changed my life!
  •  To model a strong work ethic for my children.
  • To lead my team on weekly team calls from my warm and cozy home while my babies sleep in their bed.

It’s not the parties, the trips or the big shiny objects that make this business beautiful.

It’s the everyday, not so glamorous ones that happen when the world isn’t watching.

Like receiving a message like this from a coach on my team:

I know fitness coaching is not for everyone.  But I also know that there are other women out there who are looking for something like I was.  I pray often over who God would send to Team Take Heart.

If you feel pulled to this opportunity like I did, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.  I would love to chat, even if it’s just to share more of my story. You can contact me by leaving your information below.
If you want to learn more about what I do as a coach and what being a part of Team Take Heart would look like for you, then you are welcome to watch this video I did last month!
If you already have a business you have grown, or you are trying to grow, can I encourage you to just go for it!  I believe that ANY endeavor can be something that gives glory back to God.  But it is gonna take work and prayer and missing the mark sometimes.  But don’t give up! Do the work and pray over every step.

I hope that wherever you are in your life, that you were encouraged by this blog post in some way.  And that you walk away believing in yourself and your abilities a little more.  We are ALL beautiful creations of God and each intended for our own purpose.  I want to encourage you to find yours and live it LOUD!

Don’t settle for a Shadowed Life!
