My Favorite Workout Gear!!!

My Favorite Workout Gear!!!

I LOVE to find new workout gear!  It’s almost become a problem for me…But it’s kind of part of coaching, so I can justify it a little…right?

That said, I wanted to share some of my favorite things I have discovered!  Of course, I think most of you know about my love for my Cross Training Couture workout tanks.  I have a few of them now and they are awesome!   They allow me to workout in comfort, style, and help me share my heart for the Lord!

Workout shorts are another must in the comfort area.  I do a lot of cardio indoors, and these Under Armour shorts are the best!  I can move easily and with comfort.  And they really keep me COOL!

I also love to RUN!!! Running shorts are kind of difficult for me to find that fit well.  I am kind of picky about how the fit and how they look.  They cannot be too short or too long.  I HATE a tight waistband too.  That can make for a very uncomfortable run.  Running is something I do to release tension and spend time unwinding, so it’s got to be enjoyable for me.  Old Navy has some running shorts right now that are super comfy and very affordable.  I think I got these for $15 a few weeks ago.

While we’re talking about running, I have always been a Brooks running shoe girl.  I still stick with them, because they fit my feet really well.  I know there are lots of great running shoes, but these work best for me.  Recently I purchased a pair of their Pure Flow ones.  These are even better than the ones I have always worn!!! They have amazing cushion and really protect my feet and shins.  I tend to get shin splits if I run a lot, and these have really prevented that for me!  And I got them for like $60 at our local shoe store on sale!!! Score!

For my workouts at home, like I said, I jump around a lot with some of my cardio.  I purchased a gym mat before I started Insanity Max 30, and man am I glad I did!!!! This thing is awesome.  It’s very lightweight and just snaps together.  It doesn’t take up a lot of space and is easy to move.  It cost about $20 at Walmart too, which is a crazy great price!

And lastly, and probably most important is a sports bra!!! There are lots that I have but only a couple that I really love. One is from Old Navy and is super cheap.  Now, I don’t need a ton of support…unfortunately.  Ha!  But this one is seriously comfortable for what I do.  It comes in some really cute colors too, which is always important!

Another one that I really love is from Victoria’s Secret.  It is supportive and adds a little extra in the area I need it most..ahem!  Seriously though, this bra really is cute and looks great under a workout tank or just a tshirt.  It’s super comfy and lightweight too. And it’s not super expensive like some of their other sports bras.

And last but definitely not least is my E & E…I adore this stuff!  I have always been a little wary of anything that claims to provide more “energy.”  But I tried this because my coach suggested it, and I’m hooked.  It definitely gives me a little boost of energy in the morning, but nothing that makes my heart race or makes me feel crazy.  It’s all natural too, so that’s a bonus.  And it tastes delicious.  Like lemonade.

So!  Those are just a few of my favorite things.  I am sure I will find many more!!!

xoxo,
Rachel Mitchell
