Working Towards My 2015 Goals

Working Towards My 2015 Goals

I honestly can say that I have never really been much of a goal setter.  I think that is because I have always been afraid of failing to meet my goals.  I’ve talked before about being afraid to start the 21 Day Fix and the meal plans, because I was certain I would fail.  I didn’t want to set a goal of how many pounds lost or muscle gained, because I was so fearful of not reaching my goals.

Well, I have learned that I was going about it all wrong!  It wasn’t that I wasn’t capable of reaching my goals…instead, I was letting my FEAR keep me from reaching my goals.  Failing is not the worst thing that can happen.  NEVER trying is far worse!  If I’m to afraid to even begin working towards a goal, I will certainly never ever reach it.  However, if I fail a few times, all that means is that I am actually working on making them happen.

Another thing I have learned through working with my Beachbody team is that simply by sharing my goals with other people, I am MUCH more likely to make them a reality.  Which only makes sense.  If I take myself outside of my own little comfortable bubble and make my goals public, I will work much harder to make certain they happen.  That is one of the reasons our challenge groups are so effective.  As a challenger, you begin with sharing your WHY…

Why are you committing to the group?
What goal are you working towards?
What will you do daily to reach that goal?

Having people holding you accountable and waiting to hear from you each day is super motivational!!!

That said, I have been praying and working on setting some personal and professional goals for myself for 2015, and I have been so excited about them!!!  I am not going to share all of them here, but there a few I wanted to make public with all of you.  Again, because by writing them down and sharing them, I am motivated to work extra hard to check them off my list!

1.  NO Diet Coke in 2015!!! – I have written about Diet Coke before and what it does to me.  I don’t drink it very frequently anymore, but I know that by eliminating it entirely from my diet, I will be much better off!  So, if you see me out and I reach for one or order one…Call me out!!!!

2.  Pay off all Credit Card Debt – Like the average American, Matt and I have credit card debt.  I HATE IT!!! I don’t like owing money, and between healthcare costs and unplanned expenses, we have accumulated more than I care to admit.  I’m tired of the load, and I want to use my Beachbody income to completely eliminate it!

3. Reach 5 Star Diamond Coach – As a Beachbody coach, there are different ranks you can achieve as you grow your business.  I have recently achieved Diamond status, and by the end of 2015 my goals is to reach 5 Star Diamond.  This will require that I really work hard to help people with their fitness and enhance my leadership skills.  This excites me, because I love to learn and grow.  My professional development has recently been focused on leadership, and I have learned a great deal already!!!

4. Monthly Date Night – Since having kids, Matt and I have not been very good at putting our relationship first.  We always talk about date nights, but they rarely happen.  I really want to change this.  God has blessed me with the man He created specifically for me, and I could not be happier.  I want to invest way more time and effort into our relationship, and this is a great first step.  Money has always been an issue, but things are not as tight now with my added coaching income.  Plus, I hope to get more creative and do things that don’t require much funding.  If you have any ideas, please share!!!

5. Run the Coke Race, 10K in 55 minutes…or less – I love to run.  Always have!  2014 was the first year I ever ran the 10K for some reason, and it was exhilerating!  I ran it in 1 hour and was thrilled with that time.  I’m starting Insanity Max 30 next week, and it is really targeted at increasing cardio endurance..among many other things.  I am going to focus on this and getting some miles in before May.  I know I can improve my time and can’t wait to see what this program does for me!

Running the Coke Race 10K in 2014…

So, there you have it!  Some personal, professional and health related goals.  That’s a little intimidating sharing them so publicly, but I know it serves a purpose.

If you are interested in joining me in setting and reaching your goals, let me know!  I would love for you to join me in my January 5th challenge group or in becoming a coach!  I can honestly say that I know this is exactly where God wants me to be.  And that is where I want to be this year…SMACK DAB in the center of HIS will!!!

If you are interested in my next challenge group, fill out the application below.  If you’re interested in coaching with me, make a note of that on there as well!
