I am not a leader….

“𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀. 𝗜’𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿.”⠀

I remember very clearly standing on the beach in September 2015 at my first leadership retreat and saying this to the “coach whisperer.” ⠀
⠀
I felt like a FRAUD being at that retreat. ⠀
I earned it, but my business was also moving BACKWARDS at that moment in time (or at least that’s what I saw..)⠀
⠀
I remember his words just as clearly…⠀
⠀
“𝘙𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦.”⠀

Looking back, he was 𝗦𝗢 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗡! ⠀
⠀
I left that beach feeling a little less hopeless, and a little more determined. ⠀
Just enough to hold my head up high. ⠀
Enough to return to my room and PRAY to God for direction, courage, boldness and FIGHT for this business He had given me.⠀

So when women come to me today and say something like “I WISH I could be where you are,” my response is “YOU CAN!”⠀
⠀
You are currently LIVING OUT what you 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 about yourself. ⠀
⠀
And the enemy wants you to believe you’re not capable, unworthy, ill-equipped, or whatever other lies he is telling you. ⠀
⠀
Take EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE, girl and stack it up to the word of God! ⠀
⠀
Because He says: ⠀
⠀
🖤You are HIS (Isaiah 43:1)⠀
🖤You are LOVED (Jeremiah 31:3)⠀
🖤You are STRONG (Psalm 18:35)⠀
🖤You have PURPOSE (Jeremiah 29:11)⠀
🖤You are EMPOWERED (2 Timothy 1:7)⠀

𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮!?⠀

Change the script in your head and change your reality!⠀
⠀
Am I one of those natural born leaders?? Nope! ⠀
⠀
But I’ve learned that leaders aren’t born. They are built. ⠀
⠀
And it just take time, heart, hustle and bathing it all in PRAYER that I honor God with what He has given me. ⠀
⠀
So, dream BIG darling. ⠀
Work HARD. ⠀
Pray HARDER. ⠀
⠀
