LAST Meal Plan for Hammer and Chisel!

LAST Meal Plan for Hammer and Chisel!

I cannot believe that we are just days away from March! This winter has gone by FAST, and warm weather is slowly making its way into our area of the world!

Two weeks from now, Matt and I will be in Nassau, Bahamas and then just two short months until I get out for Summer!  The days are passing quickly, but I am making the most of them and treasuring all of the sweet days I have with my family.

This weekend we have had incredible warm weather, and I am so grateful.  I am not affected by the weather too badly like so many people, but all this cold and damp started to get me down.  I believe that SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is a very real thing!

So we have taken every advantage of being outside this weekend, and we are about do some grilling to get ready for our week.  Henry has been sick with what we think is the flu, so we have doors open to let the sunshine and fresh air sweep through the house, and I am trying to keep him from getting too active and making him rest.  And praying the rest of us don’t fall sick…

I struggled so much creating my meal plan for this week, and I could NOT figure out why. Then it dawned on me that the weather had me craving different foods.  I have been so used to planning for stews, soups and warm comforting dinners that I was thrown for a loop.  It didn’t take me long to adjust.  Here’s what I came up with.  I had fun at the store planning for this week…

Thinking about all this warm weather coming, I remember where I was exactly two years ago.  Tired, sluggish, overweight, and for lack of a better word – desperate!  I hated feeling bad; especially with two very active boys.

I dreaded the thought of putting a bathing suit on with Summer right around the corner.  I am blessed with a ton of time off with my boys in the Summer, and we do a lot of swimming.  This momma was NOT excited about that.

And enough was enough.  I tried some things on my own.  Crash dieting.  Cutting out all carbs.  Restricting my food after 5:00 pm.  It had all worked quickly in the past, but it wasn’t working too well this time.

So, I knew something had to give.  I had to learn to do it the right way.  I just didn’t know where to start.

I knew my portions were out of whack, so I started there.  I googled portion control and found the 21 Day Fix.  I had no idea what it was, but it sounded like I could do it.
I started, found my coach and my first challenge group, and little did I know, but I was in for the ride of my life!

I found support, meal plans, accountability, and a community.  It worked too.  I did my work outs, meal planned, checked into my challenge group and saw results!  No crash diets.  No overnight weight loss.  Just real hard work and clean eating.  And I LOVED it!

Did I do it perfectly?  Nope.
Did I slip a lot?  Yep.
Did I struggle with cravings and self control? Absolutely!

But I learned not to give up when it got tough.  I learned to figure out WHY I wanted to change and let that fuel my fire!!!

And I will tell you, getting into a bathing suit in two weeks is super motivation to stick with my meal plans and NOT skip my workouts still today!

I don’t promote a healthy lifestyle just for image by any means.  God taught me a lot through this journey that He loves me.  He created me and this one body I have.  And HE wants me to be healthy just as much as I do.

And I know that so many people are just where I was this time two years ago.  Tired, fed up, and desperate for change.

And I want to help!  Are you dreading warm weather like I was?  Do you struggle with self-image and ride the vicious weight loss roller coaster?  STOP!!!

There is no secret sauce.  Finding the workout that is right for YOU and learning how to eat in the proper portions and fuel your body is the key!  You CAN eat healthy and ENJOY it!

And if you’re short on time, can I just tell you that I work out only 30 minutes every day??? And with 22 Minute Hard Corps launching Tuesday, you can do it in under 30 minutes! There are really NO excuses!  I’m offering to help you!

I run a challenge group every month so that I can help the people who are ready.  Is that you?

My next group begins Monday, March 15th with prep week.  I am running a 6 week “Spring into Fit” challenge group.  My goal is to teach you how to make fitness and nutrition a part of your lifestyle vs. a crash diet.  I want to help you fuel your body for energy vs comfort, learn how to read labels, make better choices, curb sugar cravings, get rid of emotional eating and learn to live life in moderation.  Most importantly this is all about LOVING your BODY the way that God intended it to be! Embracing imperfection and loving who you are!

So if you would like to join me in this 6 week group please complete the application below!  I will contact you within 24 hours to go over your health and fitness goals, match you with a Beachbody fitness program that meets your needs and a nutrition plan to compliment it!
